Michael Bryson is in his fifth year as choral director at Lowery Freshman
Center and will be the director of the AHS Women's Treble choir for this
upcoming year.

Originally from San Antonio, Mr. Bryson holds a Bachelors of Music degree
with honors from Southwest Texas State University and Master of Science
in Education with supervisor’s certification from Texas A & M University
in Kingsville.

Mr. Bryson began his teaching career in Alice, Texas where he was head
choir director at Alice High School for 21 years.  During his tenure, the
Alice High School choir program grew from 45 students to over 200.  In
addition to consistent sweepstakes ratings, Mr. Bryson’s choirs were guest
performers with the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra, and were
selected as Best in Class at numerous Texas and Colorado choral
competitions.

After relocating his family to the D/FW metroplex in 2001, Mr. Bryson
taught choir at Berkner High School and North Junior High School in
Richardson for two years where all of his choirs earned UIL Sweepstakes
awards.

Mr. Bryson has held church music director positions and leadership
positions at the Region and Area level in the Texas Music Educators
Association.  His is also a member of the Texas Choral Directors and
Texas Music Adjudicators associations.  He has performed as a baritone
soloist with the Corpus Christi Wind Symphony and the TMEA Region 14
All-Region Choir.

Mr. Bryson, his wife Lori, and their sons Christopher and Daniel live in
Wylie
