where she received a Master of Music degree in Voice. While in
residence there, she participated with Catherine Malfitano in the
Malfitano Project and performed the role of Natasha in Lee Hoiby’s A
Month in the Country
Ms. MacPherson also sang in Chiari, Italy as Mimi in La Boheme with
International Institute of Vocal Arts. While attending master classes, in San
Juan, Puerto Rico, she was under the instruction of Joan Dornemann,
Metropolitan Opera Assistant Conductor; Justino Diaz, Metropolitan Opera
baritone; Diana Sorviero, Metropolitan Opera soprano. She also
perfomed the role of Mimi in La Boheme with the International Vocal
Arts Institute.
Ms. MacPherson has sung in Berlin, Bonn, and Stuttgart under the baton of
Helmuth Rilling. She has also given recitals in Vienna, New York, and her
hometown of Dallas.
She is currently in rehearsals for Ricky Ian Gordan’s Only Heaven that will
be perfomed at Theatre Three in Dallas at the end of August. She has
taught for nearly 10 years in public and private schools while performing
and studying herself.
